Less than a month ago Khloe Kardashian revealed her svelte new body on the cover of "Life & Style." She told the magazine she shed 20 pounds in just four weeks by "working out 45 minutes a day, five days a week and maintaining a balanced, practical diet."
Well, now it seems Khloe's rapid weight loss wasn't all thanks to hard work and eating right. This week, Khloe took to her web site and shared the real deal, "So as you know, I lost a lot of weight recently, and part of it was a result of my using Quick Trim." The youngest Kardashian sister goes on to list all four of the products in the Quick Tlim line that she used, including a sculpting gel, a 14-day "burn and cleanse," a 48-hour cleanse and an "8-hour weight loss formula that burns calories 300 percent times faster!"
That's a lot of products -- all of which are touting fast weight loss. Most experts recommend losing just two pounds a week for safe and long-term weight loss.
The Quick Trim web site features both Khloe and Kim Kardashian, who are clearly paid endorsers. Yup, turns out Kim uses the products as well. "Using Quick Trim helped boost my metabolism and jump start my weight loss," the curvy reality star says on her web site.
These products aren't out yet, but will be sold at GNC stores (you can pre-order now). Caffeine seems to be the major player both in the Burn & Cleanse and Extreme Burn. Fast Cleanse is primarily a digestion-resistant polysaccharides and lemon juice.
The offer of having a body like Kim Kardashian is a pretty tempting one, but we're leery of weight loss supplements that make too-good-to-be-true claims, like "Jump Start Your Metabolism" and "Burn Calories All Day," which Quick Trim does. Plus, none of their products are approved by the FDA so it's impossible to say how effective or safe they are.
Our advice if you want to lose weight? Eat a healthy diet and move more! Even Kim has said how effective exercise can be at transforming your body. Check out the gallery below to hear Kim talk about her fitness routine. Or get more healthy and diet exercise tips here.
Although she’s made a reputation for herself mostly on her hourglass figure, socialite and, most recently, television personality, Kim Kardashian too feels the need to tone up to look good for the cameras. In the latest issue of Us Weekly magazine, Kardashian reveals how she has lost weight with the help of a strict workout and macrobiotic diet – in just a week.
Kim slimmed down from a size 6 to a size 2 in preparation for the launch of her fitness DVD “Fit in Your Jeans by Friday.” However, it wasn’t thanks to starving herself that she accomplished such an amazing feat, she says, but because of an intense workout routine and going on a macrobiotic diet. Both are aimed to help her stay toned while also focusing on her health.
The socialite, daughter of the late attorney who got controversial O.J Simpson out of jail despite the murder charge, and former best friend of Paris Hilton, has never been a fan of going to the gym, as she repeatedly said so herself. Yet, for the launch of the fitness DVD, the star had to start working out more, so her training included, as per her own admission, daily sessions of at least two hours of exercise. Sometimes, Kim even did two sessions in the same die, with the same purpose of being in the best shape for the DVD launch.
Each session started with a warmup, followed by cardio exercises with five-pound weights. According to Kim, her favorite exercises are squats and lunges – ideal for the lower part of the body – but she also worked her abs and did some stretching at the end of each session. Because she hardly works out outdoors, Kim had to focus on her entire body in the gym, which is why she tried to work all the muscles with various exercises.
As for the diet, just recently, Kardashian discovered the many advantages of the macrobiotic diet, which includes, veggie burgers, quinoa, tofu and soy cheese. Low in fat, high in fiber and mostly vegan, the diet has worked wonders for the star so far, she says. However, she still indulges in her cravings every now and then, not being the one able to resist the temptation of burgers and fries. With all that, the socialite explains, she tries to avoid heavy carbs and is moderate even when she’s giving in to cravings.
Kim Kardashian is going on week five of training with partner Mark Ballas for Dancing with the Stars. After a summer working out with her beau, New Orleans Saints running back and Heisman winner – Reggie Bush, she’s been hard at work on honing her dancing skills and it shows. I think she did a great job this past week on the show! So far she’s lost a couple of pounds but says she’s “heard that you really start to lose weight when the show starts.”
Kim Kardashian’s Diet Confidential…
We’re learning a more about her favorite foods “I love Crunch Bar Dibs, I’m an ice cream and cookie girl.” Her snacks include granola, almonds and sliced fruits. She adds though that “it’s really boring, but I try to do that especially when I’m on the go.” Her typical lunch while training for DWTS is a chicken salad.
She also reveals she’s a size 2 and 115 pounds, but everyone thinks she is 130-140 lbs because TV adds about 15 lbs to her appearance.
Kim is going to have to be careful with her love of junk food. The granola is also tricky. Sounds healthy but granola packs an incredible amount of calories at 600 calories per cup! While the extra work outs on DWTS will help she’s going to have to reign in the junk food. This is especially true for a celeb such as Kim, because as she rightly pointed out your “TV weight” is especially unforgiving.
Kim Kardashian, a reality tv show celeb in her family’s “Keeping up with the Kardashians”, will be putting her dance moves on display in the upcoming “Dancing with the Stars.” She no doubt will lose weight on the show as these stars go through long and demanding practices that burn a lot of calories… that is if she survives past the first week. So far Kim, whose better known for her curvaceous “junk in the trunk” than her dance moves, lost 5 lbs, and says wants to lose more. The 5 foot 2 curvy star says she started off at 120 lbs and wants to get down to 107. What’s her plan?
Kim Kardashian’s diet
Kim ended 2007 with a bang downing a deep fried Oreo cookie at a New Year’s Eve Party vowing that she would eat healthier in 2008. Judging by all accounts it’s been a hard resolution to keep.
At a photo shoot, for lunch the 27-year-old had a cheeseburger, a taco, a hot dog, KFC and two doughnuts. She revealed “It’s so hard to eat well because I love so many unhealthy foods. I just can’t stop eating junk. It’s awful!”
Kim’s workout
Her beau, running back Reggie Bush has motivated her to work out this summer. “He’s taught me to lift weights properly.” She mixes strength training with jogging on the treadmill.
Celeb Doc weigh in…
If she continues to consume junk food Kim is going to start gaining weight… and a lot of it. No amount of exercise will offset the calorie onslaught brought on by this amount of junk food. A weight loss strategy based solely on exercise will fail. In overly simplistic terms you lose weight with diet and keep it off with exercise as exercise is one of the strongest predictors of long term weight loss.
Television personality and socialite extraordinaire Kim Kardashian has often spoken about her weight and how she manages to stay fit in the face of the temptations that are literally at every step. Although she initially stated she was only working out more and no longer eating junk food, it seems that Kim also has an ace up her sleeve – thanks to Dr. Siegal’s Cookie Diet, the diet that stars are dying to try out for the impressive weight-loss results it promises, as Celebrity Diet Doctor informs.
In doing so, Kim is not the only celebrity to try this revolutionary diet. Mandy Moore, Jennifer Hudson, Kelly Clarkson and even Guy Ritchie have also tried it before her and, from what they said on more than one occasion, if there ever was a diet to promise great results and deliver them, then this must be it. The secret seems to reside in the fact that the low-calorie cookies can act as both hunger suppressants and replace snacks with something healthy, while also allowing for a full meal each day.
“Kim buys the Oatmeal Raisin and Chocolate flavor cookies. She likes to use the cookies to control the number of calories she eats. She also uses the Creme Brulee and Chocolate shakes to change the diet up a bit.” one unnamed, but reportedly well-informed source was telling the media recently about Kim’s diet. Combined with a vigorous workout routine, the diet can’t possibly fail, Dr. Siegal says.
Each bag of cookies includes six low-calorie treats (90 calories each), and the dieter can have them all in a day. As noted above, the diet also allows for a full meal, which should be a “sensible dinner between 300 and 800 calories,” as per Dr. Siegal’s recommendations. At the end of the day, when the dieter draws the line, he or she will have consumed 1,140 to 1,340 calories, which means the weight loss is almost guaranteed. This is precisely why so many stars have already jumped on this bandwagon, also known as the Smart for Life Diet.
Dr. Siegal has not confirmed whether Kim Kardashian is, indeed, on his diet, while the star herself has refrained from making any comment in this sense so far. Nevertheless, should this report be accurate, it would also mean that the socialite failed to tell the whole truth when asked about whether she was on any special diet in a recent interview. Although she did admit that she wasn’t eating as much as she once used to, Kim stated that she was rather focusing on her health instead of putting herself through the stress of dieting for the time being.
The only restrictions she applied to shed weight, the star was saying back then, was to avoid heavy carbs and to try and keep moderate even when she indulged in her cravings, such as burgers and fries.

Creatine Supplements...
So, what is creatine? Our bodies naturally make the compound, which is used to supply energy to our muscles. It is produced in the liver, pancreas, and kidneys, and is transported to the body's muscles through the bloodstream. Once it reaches the muscles, it is converted into phosphocreatine (creatine phosphate). This high-powered metabolite is used to regenerate the muscles' ultimate energy source, ATP (adenosine triphosphate).
Unlike steroids or drugs, creatine is 100% natural and occurs naturally in many foods; therefore, it can never be banned from any sports or international competitions (unless they banned eating meat). Many foods especially herring, salmon, tuna, and beef contain some creatine. However, the very best source of creatine by far is creatine monohydrate because it contains more creatine per weight of material than any other source. Bodybuilding.com sells only high quality 99.9% pure pharmaceutical-grade creatine monohydrate.
Nitric Oxide Supplements
1. What is it and where does it come from?
Nitric Oxide is a free form gas that is produced in the body and is used by the body to communicate with other cells in the body. To produce this gas, enzymes in the body break down the amino acid Arginine.
Nitric Oxide is a molecule consisting of one atom of nitrogen and one atom of oxygen. The production of Nitric Oxide occurs when the amino acid L-arginine is converted into L-citruline through an enzyme group known as Nitric Oxide Synthase (NOS). The chemical process of conversion is shown in figure 1.
Protein Supplements...
High protein diets, like Atkins Diet and South Beach, continue to gain in popularity among many dieters. Some athletes even use these diets and find they lose weight. Depending upon the type of athlete you are and what sort of sport you play, you might want to question the role of the high protein eating plan. Athletes should realize that much of the weight lost on these diets is a result of a decrease in total calories and the water loss that occurs with muscle glycogen depletion. If you perform high intensity or endurance training you probably know that glycogen depletion is one of the reasons athletes 'bonk' or 'hit the wall' in endurance competition. Without enough easy to access energy, in the form of glycogen, we simply run out of fuel.
